• As mechanical product developer you will report to the section head responsible for the mechanical product development of part of the TV range / HCS range. • You are responsible for the mechanical development of TV and HCS products. You will work and contribute in the following phases of the Innovation Process: - Architecture creation which focuses on the preparation of the new product ranges for TV and HCS - Realization phase which focuses on the realization of a specific range, up to release for production • In your role you will work in a mechanical project team. You are responsible for the development and validation of mechanical features, detailed design of these products, translation into tooling (plastic and metals) and the final release the product (TV / HCS-system). • You will work closely together with the Quality/Safety department, Suppliers and Industry. As our suppliers and industry are spread over the globe, you have the opportunity to work with them on location (Asia / Europe). • As product developer you are expected to have appreciation for mechanical fundaments, material knowledge, production technologies and industrial requirements. • Besides these technical skills, consumer and (aesthetical) design mindset is required to make the optimal translation of consumer and design requirements into the mechanical designs. • We offer you a dynamic, high pace environment in which we have a focus on continuous improvement of product, processes and methodologies. Your Profile: • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor / Master) • Experience with Consumer Electronics is preferred • Analytical, creative and capable of thinking on a conceptual level, yet also hands-on to achieve your results • Appreciation for aesthetical design • Curiosity for technology • Communication and team-player skills • Fresh graduate are welcome to apply. • Familiar with designing robust mechanical constructions in plastic and metal, including manufacturability aspects (mould/tooling design) • Experience with co-development with suppliers around the world • Knowledge of DfSS and Lean Development principles | | | |
