Purchasing Manager

The person we are looking for will lead a team to support procurement activities in support of our manufacturing operations.

 

 

Your Responsibilities will include:

 

·         Regular performance review with your team to tackle supplier leadtime and past due orderliness and highlight structural problems, indicate trends and suggest actions for improvement and structurally giving feedback for supplier improvement.

·         Lead to improve logistics performance, to improve action with the suppliers shorter leadtime & better distribution arrangement to shorten transportation leadtime and cost saving.

·         Monthly review on the stock level (including slow moving stock) to ensure the inventory level within target

·         Monthly review key supplier performance and take necessary steps with other functional department to bring the suppliers on track if needed.

·         Initiate and lead process improvement projects related to procurement

·         Ability to get alternative parts to ensure customers orders are not affected during tight supply market situation.

·         Monitor the whole procurement activities according to internal control requirement in order to ensure the process compliance to the ISO9000 SOPs.

 

 

We are looking for talented individuals with the following:

 

1.     Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience in FMCG products.  MBA would be an added advantage

2.     Strong through knowledge of procurement, vendor relations, material planning & inventory management

3.     Must have at least 5 years of working experience in managing team of procurement in MNC or EMS environment,  EMS experience will be an added advantage

4.     Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Development principles is highly regarded

5.     Good knowledge and hand on SAP & MS Excel

6.     Self motivated with good leadership skill, able to perform under pressure with good interpersonal & negotiation skills

7.     Effective time management, highly motivated and a drive for improvement

8.     Analytical, creative and capable of thinking on conceptual level and yet able to achieve results and ready to lead
