Job Description - Mechanical Section Manager ‘architecture’
§ Report to the Mechanical Development Manager and is part of the department’s management team.
§ Responsible for the daily operation of the mechanical architecture group. You will contribute through advance development and architecture projects, focusing on new mechanical functions, finishing technologies and mechanical architectures. You are responsible for the quality of the architectural design and the generation of application knowledge (design rules and standards design).
§ You are responsible for competency & content management, coaching & stimulating of your team-members, planning & steering the section activities, assuring timely and quality output of the section, defining and executing the department’s strategy and driving continuous improvement.
§ You will deal with cross functional issues and work closely with the internal stakeholder, which includes consumer research, design and marketing etc.
Requirements
Ø Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience in FMCG products. MBA would be an added advantage.
Ø Management experience with proven leadership competencies, communication skills. A team-player.
Ø Knowledge in designing robust mechanical constructions in plastic and metal (including manufacturability aspects as in mould & tooling design)
Ø Experience with co-development with vendors globally
Ø Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Development principles is highly regarded
Ø Analytical, creative and capable of thinking on conceptual level and yet able to achieve results.
Ø A good sense for aesthetical design. |
